Man Charged With Killing ALICE COOPER, QUEENSRŸCHE, NIRVANA Sound Engineer Flees
September 17, 2009K.C. Mehaffey of The Wenatchee World reports: A Seattle man charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of 49-year-old Tom Pfaeffle — who has worked as a sound engineer with ALICE COOPER, QUEENSRŸCHE, AEROSMITH, NIRVANA and other bands and performers in live concerts — has fled and is sought by police nationwide on a no-bail warrant.
Kino Michael Gomez, 51, wrote his family a "goodbye" letter, telling them he was taking a "one-way trip to the mountains."
The letter (see below) — an exhibit in Prosecutor Karl Sloan's request for an arrest warrant in Okanogan County Superior Court on Monday — states Gomez believes he's already been condemned by society, and would rather be dead than lose his freedom and his gun rights.
